12:25pm: Teams to be announced at 1:30pm (BST+2).
1:30pm: Teams: Aberdeen FC: Lewis, Hernandez, Taylor, McKenna, Considine, Ojo, Ferguson, Bryson, Hayes, Kennedy, Anderson. Rangers FC: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Kamara, Jack, Aribo, Hagi, Kent, Morelos.
2:30pm: Rangers kick us off towards the Richard Donaldson Stand.
2:34pm: Aribo turns and plays a lovely ball to Morelos but Morelos’ cross is cut out.
2:36pm: Foul by Aribo.
2:37pm: Foul by Morelos on Ojo.
2:41pm: Good cut back by Jack to Aribo, who has his shot blocked by Taylor.
2:44pm: Goldson fouled.
2:46pm: Rangers win the first corner.
2:46pm: Tavernier’s corner goes in and Lewis got enough on it to send it out for another.
2:47pm: Hagi plays the corner short and receives it back and his cross hits the side netting.
2:48pm: Free kick for Aberdeen after a foul by Barisic. Hayes whips it in and it bounces around and Ferguson tries a shot aimlessly.
2:50pm: GOAL! McKenna runs perfectly and it‘s an excellent through ball from Morelos. Calm finish past the keeper and 1-0 Rangers.
2:53pm: Free kick to Rangers. Good ball in by Barisic but it’s collected by Lewis.
2:55pm: Ojo plays the ball diagonally to Hernandez and the cross from Hernandez is blocked by Kent and cleared away by Barisic.
2:58pm: Ojo has a good strike and McGregor has to reach for it but he catches it.
3:00pm: Aribo passes it to Hagi. He has a firm low shot from outside the area but Lewis stops it.
3:02pm: Balogun is fouled by Taylor.
3:04pm: The free kick is in a promising position and Hagi shoots but it’s wide.
3:07pm: Barisic takes the corner but it’s collected by Goldson and crossed in. McKenna gets a touch on the ball and it goes back out to Morelos and he has a shot but it‘s poor and goes out for a goal kick.
3:11pm: Kent over ran his run and he’s tackled and it’s deflected out for an Aberdeen throw in.
3:14pm: Ojo has been given a yellow card after a foul on Hagi.
3:15pm: Half-Time: It’s been a good half for Rangers. They’ve been in control and Aberdeen have rarely had much of the ball. Aribo has been exciting for Rangers and his link up play with Morelos has been excellent. It was a composed goal by Kent and Rangers have not had much to do defensively.
3:30pm: Aberdeen get us way for the second half.
3:31pm: Kent is fouled in the defensive half.
3:33pm: Foul by Kennedy.
3:33pm: Hayes is fouled by Hagi.
3:35pm: Bryson fouls Morelos.
3:37pm: Considine fouls Hagi.
3:39pm: Morelos fouls Bryson.
3:40pm: Aribo gets a touch and leaves it for Kent. He plays a through ball to Hagi who attempts to play a ball and it’s blocked and comes back to him. He has a shot and it was rather aimless.
3:41pm: Aribo fouled by Ferguson.
3:42pm: Hagi fouls Hernandez.
3:42pm: Hayes crosses the ball into the box after a good run but no one can get on it.
3:43pm: First corner for Aberdeen.
3:44pm: The corner goes in and it’s a bit of a scramble. Lucky for Rangers, first threatening chance from Aberdeen. Balogun receiving treatment after his head hit the post.
3:46pm: Balogun is now up and on the field again.
3:49pm: ABERDEEN FC SUBSTITUTION: Edmondson is coming on for Anderson.
3:52pm: Morelos is fouled.
3:52pm: Hagi has a shot deflected wide.
3:56pm: ABERDEEN FC SUBSTITUTIONS: McGinn is coming on for Kennedy. Campbell is coming on for Bryson.
3:59pm: The corner is played short to Hayes who crosses it to Taylor and his header goes wide.
4:00pm: Goldson fouls McGinn.
4:02pm: Morelos shot is blocked by Taylor.
4:03pm: RANGERS FC SUBSTITUTION: Hagi comes off for Arfield.
4:03pm: ABERDEEN FC SUBSTITUTION: Hedges come on for Ojo.
4:06pm: Hayes is fouled.
4:09pm: Hedges has a good run in behind and plays the ball to McGinn in the centre of the box. He has a shot and it’s blocked. It comes back out to Hedges and he plays a through ball to McGinn but he’s offside.
4:12pm: RED CARD: Considine is sent out after a jump tackle on Arfield.
4:13pm: Goldson is fouled by Ferguson.
4:16pm: 6 minutes added.
4:18pm: Great block by Taylor to stop Aribo’s shot.
4:22pm: Rangers thoroughly deserved the 3 points. Good game from Rangers again controlling the second half. The link up play for Rangers between Kent, Morelos, Aribo and Jack was excellent. Aberdeen struggled but they showed more promise in the second half but they still didn’t create a lot. My man of the match was Kent. He had a good game; he created a lot of chances; he positively influenced the game and he was at the centre of everything for Rangers.
