4:00pm: Southampton are get us underway at the Vitality Stadium.
4:00pm: Ward-Prowse puts it over the top for Ings and his shot goes out for a corner.
4:02pm: The corner goes in and there are penalty claims but VAR looks at it and decides it wasn’t a handball.
4:05pm: Good turn from Long but he couldn’t keep the ball in and it goes out for a throw.
4:06pm: King flicks it on to Wilson and it goes out for a corner.
4:08pm: Teasing cross from Stanislas but no one can get on it.
4:09pm: The corner goes in and Billing gets onto the ball and it gets a deflection and goes out.
4:10pm: The corner goes in again and Stanislas puts the loose ball back in and Wilson’s header goes over the bar.
4:13pm: Penalty claims on King but VAR again says no. Great run from Bertrand but it goes wide and the shot is collected by Ramsdale.

4:17pm: Ward-Prowse puts Redmond through and Ramsdale smothers the attempt. Great goalkeeping.
4:19pm: Ings fouls Stacey.
4:21pm: King fouls Redmond.
4:24pm: Great second ball in after the initial cross from the corner but Stanislas couldn’t sort out his feet.
4:26pm: Romeu puts an excellent ball in but Ward-Prowse’s header finds Ramsdale’s hands.
4:29pm: King crosses the ball in low after a wonderful run but great defending from Kyle-Peters to block the cross and Stephens to clear the ball.
4:31pm: Vestergaard is fouled.
4:35pm: Vestergaard gets a yellow card after a foul on Wilson.
4:38pm: Ward-Prowse delivers the corner and it’s out by Lerma. Redmond has a shot on the volley and Ramsdale catches it firmly.
4:41pm: GOAL! Excellent build-up play. Long played it to Armstrong, he lays it off to Redmond. Redmond places it wide and Ings ran inside and placed his shot. Beautifully worked goal. 1-0 to Southampton.
4:44pm: 2 minutes added time.
4:46pm: Half-time: It’s been an entertaining game. Bournemouth have looked very dangerous and have had more possession. Southampton have had a good game with more shots. Redmond has had a great game and he has helped Southampton creatively. He has looked very bright.
5:02pm: Bournemouth get us underway for the second half.

5:17pm: Ings stands over the ball. Ramsdale makes an excellent save! Ings runs up and shot to the keeper’s left and Ramsdale read it excellently.

5:23pm: King brings it down and plays it to H.Wilson. His shot is saved by McCarthy.

5:27pm: Mistake by Lerma. Armstrong takes the ball and plays it wide to Redmond. He plays it back to him and Armstrong’s shot curls wide.

5:32pm: Solanke tried a shot but McCarthy does well to make himself big and save it.

5:52pm: GOAL! Surridge heads on the long throw and Ramsdale parries it. Surridge then shots in the rebound. This goal could be Bournemouth’s lifeline.
5:53pm: CORRECTION: Wilson is offside and the goal is disallowed.
5:56pm: GOAL! Brilliant play by Southampton. Obafemi plays it to Adams and he scores. Devastating for Bournemouth.
5:57pm: Full-Time: The game was even throughout. Both teams looked dangerous and the game was very much end-to-end. Southampton had a good game and played some wonderful link up play. Bournemouth had a great game but they were unfortunate to not get a point. Cruel defeat. My man of the match was Redmond. He had a good game, he was creative and he influenced the game positively.
